Aachen is an important hub for scientific and technological innovation in Germany. RWTH Aachen University and FH Aachen – University of Applied Sciences boast profound expertise in engineering and applied research, and they have long been research partners of DSA’s German headquarters.
During the discussion, Dr. Ziemons reviewed the sound foundation of cooperation between DSA Headquarters in Germany, the City of Aachen, local universities and the industrial community. He acknowledged DSA’s localized development and successful technical implementation in the Chinese market and expressed the expectation to further strengthen the partnership and advance future exchanges and collaboration.
Shi Congfu, General Manager of DSA China, presented the development trends, market landscape and local characteristics of China’s automotive industry. Driven by the accelerated advancement of electrification, intelligence and software-defined vehicles, domestic OEMs keep innovating in intelligent driving, on-board software and vehicle manufacturing. This also brings new requirements for vehicle diagnostics, production line automation and full-lifecycle vehicle data management.

During the technical sharing session, DSA China’s Technical Managers introduced DSA’s technological innovations and project delivery capabilities with practical application cases, focusing on:

Drawing on the long-standing automotive project expertise of DSA’s German headquarters, DSA applies capabilities including diagnostics, digital twins and automated test scheduling to real production scenarios. It supports mixed-model production and remote diagnostics, helping OEMs improve production line flexibility and manufacturing efficiency, enhance consistency in diagnosis and testing, and deliver reliable technical support for the production and after-sales operation of next-generation intelligent vehicles.
Vehicle Walkaround & Experience
Dr. Ziemons and the accompanying delegation closely observed and experienced intelligent vehicles from domestic Chinese OEMs, learning about features such as cockpit interaction, ADAS and localized intelligent services.
The visitors were impressed by the rapid iteration of China’s intelligent vehicles and user-centric feature innovation. They noted that these practices offer valuable reference and bring new ideas for future mutual learning and exchanges between both sides.
Deepening Collaboration for Shared Success
At the closing of the exchange, Dr. Ziemons stated that he highly values the partnership with DSA. Building on the technical expertise of its German headquarters in vehicle diagnostics, production line automation and autonomous driving testing, DSA China will further enhance localized services for Chinese OEMs. Meanwhile, it will feed back the intelligent application practices and market demands from China to research and industrial partners in Aachen, promote technical exchange and industry-university-research collaboration, and jointly explore new opportunities for the development of the automotive industry.
